About the role

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing operating rooms with sterile supplies and equipment. They scrub for cases and anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team during procedures.

This is a part-time (20 hours/week) day shift (M-F) at Scripps Carmel Valley Clinic.

The Surgical Tech will: ensure operating rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.

Monitor sterile field throughout procedure.

Scrub for cases, anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team. #LI-JS1

Required

One year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program. Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment. Detail oriented and able work well in a fast-paced, high stress environment. Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider required Preferred · CST · 2+ years’ experience

Requirements

Requires one year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited training program. A current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is mandatory.
