About the role

The Medical Assistant is responsible for proactively preparing patient charts and ensuring all clinical information is up-to-date. They support the clinical team by managing daily patient flow and providing empathetic care to patients.

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant - Registered, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.

Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.

Job Requirements Required High School diploma or GED Six (6) months of experience in a medical office/clinic or graduation from an accredited Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Nursing Assistant Program Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) through the State of Washington, sponsored by Virginia Mason, required within 60 days of hire BLS-RQI Knowledge of medical terminology Professional demeanor with a positive, upbeat attitude, and strong communication skills Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task Capable of working independently with minimal supervision Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrative and clinical staff, leaders, patients and physicians Preferred Associate degree or equivalent

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and either six months of medical office experience or graduation from an accredited MA/Nursing Assistant program. A Washington State MA-R certification and BLS-RQI are required.
