The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care within an outpatient clinic setting. Key duties include triage, executing prescribed treatments, and educating patients and families on health management.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team headed by the physician and have specialized knowledge, skills and ability pertinent to ambulatory care patient needs. Scope of performance includes prioritization and triage of care delivery, implementing established standing orders and protocols, performing procedures and therapies consistent with training and licensure. Posting Specifics Benefits Eligible: Yes Shift Details: Full time (40 budgeted hours). Days of the week will vary. Four 10 hour shifts, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Rotating weekends. We are open on holidays. Preferred Qualifications: RN with Clinic experience desired but not required Scope
1.Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
2.
Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
3.
Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition.
4.
Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
5.
Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
Refer to/consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
6.
Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
7.
Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
8.
Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
9.
Tracks quality assurance data and monitor for acute and chronic care management.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board is required Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is required One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting is required
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a valid RN license and BLS or ACLS certification. At least one year of experience in a clinic or acute hospital setting is required.
