  • Sentara RMH Medical Center, in Harrisonburg, VA, is currently hiring an MRI Technologist II to work a Full Time, Day Shift. 15K Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Hours Full Time, Day Shift, 40 hours/week Overview Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.
  • Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patient records, reports, and files. Performs patient MRI exam per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation, examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Education Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program (Preferred) Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required) Certification/Licensure CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT (Required) Must obtain

Requires a degree in Radiologic Technology and certification from CNMT, ARDMS, ARRT, or ARMRIT. Candidates must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within two years of hire.
