The IOP Therapist provides clinical assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based individual and group therapy for clients in an Intensive Outpatient Program. Responsibilities include conducting risk evaluations, facilitating therapeutic groups, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient recovery.
Two (2) or more years of direct clinical experience in an IOP, PHP, or inpatient psychiatric settings.
Experience with DBT skills training, CBT interventions, and trauma-informed care.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Customer-service driven. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy along with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Should have a professional and personable demeanor.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Good spelling and grammar skills.
Requires an ability to work with numbers and mathematical concepts (adding, subtracting, etc.) on a regular basis.

ENVIRONMENT: This job is operated in an outpatient hospital setting working with high acuity patients. Ability to exercise self-control in situations such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner is beneficial. Must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation, and foot traffic and be able to move from one task to another. Must be flexible and not easily frustrated in dealing with differences of opinions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near/far vision, ability to adjust focus, and manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination. Work environment is subject to interruptions, varying and unpredictable situations and time pressures related to multiple tasks. Regular attendance is required. Overtime, including weekends, may at times, be required to fulfill duties of position. Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a behavioral health field and a current Arizona license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT). Required certifications include a Level One fingerprint clearance card, CPR, and CPI certification.
