Working collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, you’ll evaluate patients, design customized treatment plans, fabricate and fit prosthetic devices, and provide ongoing care that helps patients achieve their highest level of mobility and function. ⸻ What You’ll Do

  • Evaluating patients and developing individualized prosthetic treatment plans
  • Designing, measuring, fitting, fabricating, and adjusting custom prosthetic devices
  • Utilizing advanced prosthetic technologies and evidence-based practices
  • Collaborating with physicians and rehabilitation specialists to optimize patient outcomes
  • Educating patients and families on prosthetic use, maintenance, and long-term success
  • Monitoring patient progress while making ongoing adjustments for comfort, function, and mobility

Job Description

  • Minimum Education, Experience & Certification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Prosthetics or Orthotics & Prosthetics from an accredited program
  • Completion of an NCOPE-accredited prosthetics residency
  • Certified Prosthetist (CP) or CP-eligible through the American Board for Certification (ABC)
  • Eligible for or holding South Carolina licensure, if applicable
  • Strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and patient communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an academic medical center or multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting
  • Experience with advanced prosthetic technologies, including microprocessor-controlled components
