The specialist will manage transgenic mouse colonies and perform histology and immunohistochemistry to identify anti-liver cancer signaling factors. Additionally, they will conduct molecular biology experiments and handle laboratory reagent procurement and record-keeping.
Summary The individual will be under supervision of the PI, will participate in routine experiments and the maintenance of a basic biomedical science laboratory, with emphasis on transgenic mouse colony establishment and maintenance, embryonic and adult mouse histology and immunohistochemistry, light microscope imaging, preparation of solutions and reagents, equipment sterilization, and basic cell/tissue culture. These duties will be utilized to assist in the identification of anti-liver cancer signaling factors during liver damage repair. The individual will also assist the PI to select and order reagents.
