The Monitor Technician monitors patient cardiac rhythms and notifies nursing staff of any changes. They are also responsible for transcribing physician orders and performing other unit functions in compliance with hospital protocols.
FT 7p Under the direction of Unit Director, the Monitor Technician (MT) performs unit functions such as viewing monitor screen for changes in patient cardiac rhythm and notifying RN of any changes noted, transcribing physician orders, etc., appropriate to the position and in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Candidates must be high school graduates with BLS certification. Previous experience in basic EKG interpretation and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.
