Under the general direction of a licensed caregiver, the Licensed Vocational Nurse II is responsible for identifying the needs of each patient and assisting in the planning and delivery of patient care.
After appropriate educational preparation, it is capable of an expanded scope of care in the areas of nursing process and intravenous therapy.
Maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of acute care experience. Candidates must hold a California State Vocational Nurse License and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
