Position Overview We're seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide hands-on clinical support within a busy women's health practice.
In this role, you'll assist providers with patient care, coordinate clinical activities, educate patients, and help ensure each visit is efficient, comfortable, and focused on high-quality care.
This position reports to the clinical leadership team and works closely with physicians, registered nurses, and other medical staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Daily responsibilities include: Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and updating health records. Assist physicians and providers during examinations and office procedures. Administer medications, injections, and treatments within the scope of Georgia LPN practice. Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care. Collect specimens and perform routine point-of-care testing. Maintain complete and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow. Ensure examination rooms remain clean, organized, and properly stocked. Follow infection prevention guidelines, OSHA standards, and established clinical protocols. Perform additional clinical duties as needed to support the practice.
We're looking for someone who has: Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program. Current Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligibility for licensure. Strong patient assessment and clinical support skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical office while managing multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Familiarity with medical terminology and routine clinical procedures. Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Previous experience in an OB/GYN, women's health, or physician office setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day. Assist patients with positioning or mobility when appropriate. Perform repetitive clinical tasks requiring frequent hand use. Lift or move patients and medical equipment while following safe patient handling practices.
