The Respiratory Care Assistant performs basic respiratory competencies including medicated aerosol delivery and airway clearance therapy. They are responsible for patient monitoring and maintaining the security of Protected Health Information.

A Brief Overview The Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility.
This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency.
What You Will Do Medicated aerosol delivery Airway clearance therapy Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG) Oxygen and humidity therapy Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups) Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
