Our residents and patients are served by team members trained to meet the unique and specialized needs of each individual. Our team is dedicated to encouraging and motivating our patients to excel in therapy and regain daily life skills.

Professional

Qualifications: Housekeeping Aides have the ability to read well enough to follow directions, and understand the dangers that comes with working with the chemicals, equipment and supplies in the housekeeping department. Verbal communication skills are important to carry on conversations with residents, co-workers and visitors in an understandable manner. Housekeeping Aides are continually learning and growing by participating in educational sessions, inservice training and demonstrations.

Personal

Qualifications: Housekeeping Aides have a strong desire to relate to and work with the elderly. They possess high personal integrity, a caring attitude and portray a positive image. Housekeeping Aides find fulfillment in building personal relationships and providing excellent office services. They are committed to doing whatever it takes to enhance the dignity in people's lives.

Physical

Requirements: Housekeeping Aides understand the physical demands their jobs require and realize they need to:

pass a physical exam.

lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc.

lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds occasionally each work day.

lift twenty-five (25) pounds consistently.

be able to move and stretch in such a way as to be able to reach areas above their head and below their waist.

go up and down stairs.

bend, stoop and twist almost constantly throughout the day.

push and pull a cart requiring twenty-five (25) pounds of force.

bend and twist while sweeping, mopping, etc.

use the floor buffer.

remain active and on their feet for up to four (4) hours at a time.

see well enough to read container labels, measuring equipment, written directions, etc.
