Summary The Care Assistant performs duties for the residents of Assisted/Independent Living at Crown Pointe Estates. The position provides assistance for personal care, meals, laundry, housekeeping, activity assistance, and any additional needs of residents. Assists the medication aide as needed. General Hours of Work Part time - day shift from 6am - 9am, every third weekend, and every other holiday. Education and/or Experience High school diploma of GED preferred, but not required. Experience in working with the elderly population preferred, but not required. Certificate, Licenses, Registrations Certified Nurse Aide Certification preferred, but not required. Must obtain CPR certification within 3 months of hire date. Essential Functions Completes assigned responsibilities as delegated by RN supervisor to care for each individual resident. Provides feedback to RN/LPN supervisor regarding resident care and reports resident concern appropriately. Assures safety of all residents. Assists with meal set up and serving. Assures that all residents are provided meals (either in their room or through the dining room) that receive meal service.
  • Cleans all community areas: elevator, restrooms, offices, hallways, etc. Assists activities coordinator with activities as needed. Provides assistance for residents as needed or requested for daily living, including, but not limited to, transfers, general housekeeping and laundry services. Completes charting and documentation on residents, available to take vital signs. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

A high school diploma and CNA certification are preferred but not required. Candidates must obtain CPR certification within three months of hire and experience with the elderly is desired.
