About the Role

As a Behavioral Health Homes (BHH) Family Support Specialist, you'll use your lived experience as a family member of someone who has received mental health services to provide hope, guidance, and support to families navigating behavioral health challenges. Working as part of a collaborative care team, you'll help families build natural supports, connect with community resources, and advocate for their children's needs. What You'll Do Build trusting relationships with families through peer support. Share your lived experience to inspire hope and recovery. Help families navigate behavioral health services and community resources. Collaborate with care teams to support children and families. Assist families in developing natural support systems. Complete accurate and timely documentation. Participate in team meetings and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Lived experience as a family member of someone who has received services for a mental health diagnosis and willingness to self-identify in this role. Current Maine OCFS Family Support Specialist certification preferred, or willingness to complete required CORE training and obtain certification within 9 months. Strong communication, organization, advocacy, and teamwork skills. Schedule & Location Monday-Friday No weekends Hybrid (office and community-based work) Why Join Andwell? Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED and lived experience as a family member of someone receiving mental health services. Preference is given to those with Maine OCFS Family Support Specialist certification or a willingness to obtain it within 9 months.
