About the role

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nutritional processes for patients across various hospital units. They collaborate with patients and families to achieve nutrition goals and deliver care tailored to pediatric, adult, and geriatric needs.

At NorthBay Healthcare the Clinical Dietitian is responsible for and has the authority to deliver nutrition care according to the philosophy, policies, and goals/objectives of the Nutrition Department. The Dietitian assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nutritional processes for individual patient care. The Registered Dietitian makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward nutrition goals and utilizes a professional relationship with the patient and family to facilitate those goals. The Dietitian modifies and delivers care specific to the specific behaviors/needs of the pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient with in the scope of service of the Nutrition Department, including nutrition care of patients in Intensive Care, Stepdown, Medical, Surgical, and Emergency areas, as well as various outpatient areas within the system.

Compensation Structure NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements. Remote Work Disclosure NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Requirements

Candidates must have a B.S. in Nutrition or Dietetics and be a Registered Dietitian or RD-eligible. At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or a CDR-accredited internship is required.
