Provide 24-hour call coverage for general orthopedic surgery, including emergency department coverage. Manage consults (0-3 per day) and provide medical management for orthopedic patients. Perform ED visits for closed reductions, admissions, and surgical procedures (wrist, ankle, and hip fractures; I&D). Stabilize and transfer long bone trauma as necessary. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the MediTech EMR system.
Must be Board Certified and licensed in North Carolina with a valid DEA and certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and ABLS. Candidates must be vaccinated and credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, and PECOS.
