What You Bring (Requirements)
1.
A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2.
Registered or certified as a nursing assistant.
3.
Completion of a state approved training program in medication administration with certificate received (QMAP).
4.
Minimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly population required.
5.
Must have a valid driver’s license and have means of transportation.
The Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) is to maintain our pharmacy database with up-to-date and accurate information. Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, storage, distribution and discontinuation of participant’s medications and maintaining all required documentation for medication and treatment administration.
Administration of medications and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.
ADL assistance to residents as assigned and observation of the resident’s general status.
Documentation: Accurate documentation of medications and treatments administered and performed according to all facility policy and procedures.
