The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive medical care across all life cycles in an ambulatory setting, focusing on wellness promotion and illness prevention. Responsibilities include performing health exams, managing acute and chronic conditions, and coordinating prenatal care.
Under the leadership of the Director, Physician Services, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an active member of the Physician Services team that delivers medical care consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy, and direction of Physician Services and CRHS. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing care to patients throughout their life cycles (prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) while emphasizing wellness promotion, illness prevention, care of acute minor illnesses and stable chronic illnesses for all life cycles.
• Education:
Requires and maintains current state license as a Registered Nurse.
Requires and maintains current state certification as a Physician Assistant –Certified (PA-C).
Maintains a current certification in Basic Life Support (If BLS verification is not current upon hire, it must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)
Requires and maintains a current valid driver’s license and proof of minimum automobile insurance.
Requires a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science, or Medical Science with two to four years of related experience. Candidates must maintain current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, PA-C certification, and BLS certification.
