Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL.

This is a full-time Night shift opportunity.

Scheduled shifts 7:00pm-7:00am.

The Emergency Department at Baptist Nassau provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care to coastal communities in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities: Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, and emergent conditions Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams Coordinate care with ancillary services to support optimal outcomes Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and satisfaction Participate in staff meetings, unit-based initiatives, and continuous quality improvement Embrace and uphold Baptist Health’s mission, vision, and values Registered Nurse Experience: 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required) Telemetry Experience (required) Emergency Department Experience (preferred) Hospital Experience (required) Registered Nurse Education & Credential Requirements: Associate of Science in Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred) Licensed Registered Nurse (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred) Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), TNCC, NIHSS (preferred) If you are interested in this full-time Registered Nurse position at Baptist Nassau, please apply now.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.

Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.

Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.

Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. *Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Primary Location: Nassau - Main Building

Requirements

Requires an Associate of Science in Nursing, a valid RN license, and BLS certification, with 1-2 years of Med-Surg and Telemetry experience. A Bachelor's degree and advanced certifications like ACLS or CEN are preferred.
