The RN is responsible for delivering quality patient care and assisting physicians in performing diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiac studies. They must coordinate care with healthcare teams and may assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
Fairview is looking for a Cardiovascular RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at St.
John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN.
This position is 80 hours per two weeks on the Day shift (8am - 4:30pm) with flexible start and end times, on call 1 day a week and 1 weekend a month (must live within 30 minutes from Hospital).

Responsible for delivery of quality patient care in accordance with established standards of practice.
Assist the physician in performing invasive cardiac studies, both diagnostic and therapeutic.
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. Utilizes nursing process by assessing, implementing and evaluating care given to assigned patients. Communicates accurately and effectively with patient/family and healthcare members regarding plan of care, nursing interventions and patient information Coordinates care with physicians. Directs, coordinates and acts as a liaison for other health care personnel. Manages and supervises other unit personnel as needed. Assumes charge nurse responsibility as assigned. Required Qualifications Associates Degree in Nursing 2 years Critical Care Experience Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc) Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
Bachelors Degree in Nursing Cardiac Critical Care experience Previous Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience Electrophysiology experience

Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing, a MN RN license, and 2 years of Critical Care experience. BLS and ACLS certifications are required, while a Bachelor's degree and specific Cath Lab experience are preferred.
