About the role

The Anesthesia Technician prepares, maintains, and troubleshoots anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure safe delivery of care. They collaborate with perioperative teams to ensure room readiness and the availability of monitoring devices and emergency supplies.

  • The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points.

  • Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop.
  • Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space.
  • The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services.
  • In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.
  • Anesthesia Tech (40 hours work schedule) The Anesthesia Technician supports anesthesia providers and perioperative teams by preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, supplies, and environments to ensure safe, efficient delivery of anesthesia care in an acute care hospital.
  • This role ensures anesthesia workstations, airway equipment, monitoring devices, and emergency supplies are clean, functional, stocked, and immediately available for surgical and procedural cases.
  • The Anesthesia Technician contributes directly to patient safety, infection prevention, room readiness, and procedural throughput.

Qualifications

Anesthesia Tech Job Requirements

  • Education
  • Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician or Technologist program preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in acute care setting as an

  • Skills: Airway equipment preparation and maintenance Knowledge of anesthesia circuits, vaporizers, and monitoring devices Serves as a liaison between Respiratory therapy and the Anesthesia department for maintenance of the difficult airway box readiness and equipment deployment Suction systems and oxygen delivery setup Equipment cleaning, disinfection, and reprocessing standards
