The Speech Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with human communication and pharyngeal disorders. They must assess patient acuity, plan treatment programs, and direct the implementation of these programs within an inpatient rehab facility.
The Speech Pathologist is responsible for applying principles, methods, and procedures for the prevention, identification, evaluation, treatment, consultation, habilitation, rehabilitation, instruction, and research, relative to the development and disorders of human communication; to related oral and pharyngeal competencies; and to behavior related to disorders of human communication. The Speech Pathologist shall assume the responsibility for assessing the patient, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning the patient’s treatment program, and implementing and directing the program.
• Prefer Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
