Utilizing the nursing process, functions primarily in direct patient care. Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment. Maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respects patient rights. Begins leadership and preceptor participation when performance demonstrates ability. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Performs purposeful hourly rounding including: Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions 2. Created the “always” experience for the patient and looks for ways to improve patient satisfaction 3. Provides nursing care directly to patients in a calm and professional manner
Requires a nursing degree, a valid Michigan Nursing License, and at least two years of hospital-based experience in Med/Surg or Critical Care. Must hold BLS certification and obtain ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications within specified timeframes.
