Overview Occupational Therapist (OTR) – PRN- Home Health Care Mifflin County, PA Looking for Daylight Hours, Flexibility, and Meaningful Patient Care? Advantage Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our growing Home Health team. If you're looking for the flexibility of a PRN schedule while making a real difference in patients' lives, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, you'll enjoy the autonomy of managing your schedule, providing one-on-one care in patients' homes, and helping individuals regain independence and confidence in performing the activities that matter most to them.

Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do Provide skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care.
  • Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment programs to improve function, safety, and independence.
  • Assess patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and recommend adaptive techniques or equipment as needed.
  • Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive strategies, and ongoing therapy goals.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania.
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a current Pennsylvania license and CPR certification. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, with home health experience preferred.
