How you’ll contribute

An Ultrasound Technician who excels in this role

Provides quality ultrasound studies to include abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular small parts for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness.

Maintains appropriate files, supplies and equipment.

Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician delivery of care and services

Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and orderly work area. Notifies supervisor of needed items.

Maintains equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.

Provides age-appropriate care to all patients.

Acts as a physician/staff consultant and an educational resource for appropriateness and accuracy of scans

What we’re looking for • Education

  • Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology
  • Minimum
  • Work
  • Experience: ARRT should have one year of DMS experience (preferred only).
  • Licenses: American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Other; Graduate from an accredited DMS program OR DMS Certification.
  • Skills and
  • Abilities: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology and hold ARRT certification or DMS certification. One year of DMS experience is preferred.
