We are searching for a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Veterinary Assistant to welcome to our team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced veterinary environment where teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential. Team members play a direct role in patient care by assisting doctors with exam room appointments, educating clients, and helping create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care. To provide the best possible care for our patients, team members should be comfortable working within our operating hours without longstanding restriction. While this position is primarily based at one hospital location, occasional coverage at our nearby hospitals (all within a 15-mile radius) may be requested to support our teams and patients. Because schedules are built around patient care needs, some week-to-week variation may occur. ·Collect vital information on animals' health and record electronically. ·Assist veterinarians during examinations. ·Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians. ·Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies. ·Take radiographs and collect laboratory samples for testing. ·Provide supportive care for hospitalized pets. ·Educate clients about products and services. ·Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
