Responsibilities

  • Provide age-specific direct patient care using the Nursing Process within the department’s standards
  • Deliver nursing care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses, documenting care appropriately
  • Assume leadership responsibilities, including delegation of work to other levels of staff
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and maintain patient safety and privacy
  • Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and hospital/department policies; respond to changes in patient condition and de-escalate when needed

Requirements

  • Active, current Registered Nurse license in Vermont
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and de-escalation training must be active prior to contract start date; if not, a booked course is required at Clinical Orientation
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting and in a med/surg tele environment
  • Willingness to participate in a travel assignment with guaranteed hours
