Essential job duties are as follows: Follows physician orders and administers regularly scheduled oral, topical, suppository, otic, nasal and ocular medications to Assisted Living Residents.

Consults with the Nurse Manager to assess a resident who requests a "prn" (as needed) medication.

Reports observations regarding changes in resident's status Maintains the medication cabinets/drawers and disposal of outdated and discontinued medications.

Schedules re-fills

Qualifications

State of NH MNA license. One year of long-term care preferred. Visual and aural acuity to detect changes in conditions of residents and to read and recognize written medication orders and MAR's. Must be clean and professional at all times and follow the dress code, which prohibits tattoos and excessive jewelry. A valid NH Drivers license, criminal background check and

drug testing is required.

Requirements

Must hold a valid State of New Hampshire MNA license and a valid NH driver's license. One year of long-term care experience is preferred, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
