About the role

The CRNA is responsible for performing pre-operative assessments and managing anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence for patients across all acuity levels. They also handle post-operative follow-ups and serve as clinical instructors for anesthesia students.

A Brief Overview

Cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

What you will do

Performs a pre-operative patient assessment.

Determines a plan of care and communicating the plan of care to patient and family.

Establishes and maintains essential venous access.

Ensures establishment and maintenance of airway.

Responsible for inducting, maintaining the anesthesia, and proper monitoring.

Responsible for completing the anesthesia and the emergence from anesthesia.

Transfers care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure.

Performs post-operative follow-up for each case performed.

Perform as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an active RN license and be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certified by the NBCRNA. The role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
