The Patient Care Technician provides paraprofessional care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include managing activities of daily living, performing specific tests and procedures, and maintaining environmental duties.

City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and cancer treatment centers and outpatient facilities in the Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix areas.

The successful candidate: Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Every third weekend rotation Rotating holidays required Job Summary The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a paraprofessional caregiver who works under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The PCT assumes responsibility and accountability for activities of daily living, certain tests and procedures, environmental duties, and other tasks as designated by their competency level.

The PCT provides care for age groups as defined in the scope of care.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required Listed in good standing on the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry or EMT certification required CPR card required City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and be listed in good standing on the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry or hold an EMT certification. A valid CPR card is also required.
