About the role

Performs noninvasive echocardiograms and assists with transesophageal echocardiograms to diagnose cardiovascular disease. Provides comprehensive patient care across all age groups from premature infants to older adults.

Under the direction of the cardiology manager, performs noninvasive echocardiograms and assists with transesophageal echocardiograms for use in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. Provides patient care to the following age groups: premature infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle and older adults. Communicates effectively to other staff members and physicians.

Required Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training - Certification of completion of cardiac ultrasound sonographer course.
  • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire or,
  • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years - Experience in an acute hospital setting, Cardiac Clinic, or physician office.
