The Scribe assists the doctor by transcribing appropriate data into the patient medical record during the patient exam in order to optimize the doctor’s time with patients. This position will also assist the technician by performing various administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and ancillary testing, scheduling patients, and preparing the exam room.

Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing.
Physical requirements: Light work. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on a regular basis from floor to waist, 5 lbs from waist to shoulder, and 5 lbs from shoulder to overhead.
The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Candidates must be high school graduates with strong communication skills and proficiency in EHR systems. While previous optometry experience is preferred, the company provides training for those without experience.
