About the role

The nurse provides and coordinates evidence-based nursing care for patients, families, and the community. The role involves managing resources to maintain and restore optimum health in an emergency setting.

Guided by knowledge of the basic principles of nursing based on the biological, physical, and psycho-social sciences, utilizes judgment supported by evidence and nursing theory in the delivery of nursing care. Provides, coordinates and/or delegates nursing care and manages resources in the delivery of care for patients, the family of patients and the community, with the goal of attaining, maintaining and restoring optimum health.

BLS required until ACLS obtained, ACLS & PALS must be obtained with 180 days of hire.

Schedule

24 Hours per week, 7p-7a, Most of the shifts will be Saturday/Sunday (this is NOT a weekend option position).

There is no Holiday requirement due to working most weekends.

Requirements

Candidates must have BLS certification upon hire and obtain ACLS and PALS certifications within 180 days. The position requires availability for a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week, primarily on weekends.
