About the role

The clinician will help consumers regain control of their lives through self-directed recovery and trauma-informed care. Responsibilities include providing individual, family, and group therapy while linking clients to essential community resources.

Overview The region’s leading provider of integrated behavioral and primary health care is seeking an integrated outpatient clinician to work with our clients for co-occurring (Mental Health & Substance Use) services in Granite City or Belleville, IL.

We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers.

Responsibilities

Help consumers to regain control over their lives through self-directed recovery. Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness. Use evidence-based practices focusing on individual, family, and group therapy. Link clients to community resources including DCFS, probation/parole, courts, medical care, and natural supports. Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and with the community to sustain a favorable program reputation.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ supervised mental health experience and obtain Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) within 2 years of hire. Must be willing to be trained in Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) and obtain CRA certification within 3 months following training. Basic computer skills including MS Office and an electronic medical record. Are you intrigued by this job but don’t meet every single requirement? Requirements
