We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to

Provide specialized pre- and post-procedure care for adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, structural heart, and interventional nephrology procedures in UW Health's nationally recognized Heart & Vascular program.

Care for a diverse patient population in a 12-bed prep/recovery unit, utilizing strong intermediate care (IMC) assessment skills while preparing patients for procedures, recovering post-procedure patients, and caring for select higher-acuity patients, including STEMI and TAVR patients requiring extended recovery.

Collaborate with an expert multidisciplinary team including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiovascular technologists, and Cath Lab nurses to deliver safe, efficient, patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

  • Work Experience
  • 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
  • Specific to EP Lab- Previous moderate sedation experience Required
  • Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
  • Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred
  • Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
  • Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred
  • Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required
  • Certification in area of specialty Preferred

Requirements

Requires a valid RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
