About the role

Delivers comprehensive care to NICU patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and intervention. Maintains continuity of care and incorporates age-specific safety and infection control measures.

Registered Nurse (RN) NICU Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033 Work hours: Full Time, 30 Hours; 7:00am – 7:00pm NICU Department highlights: · Beautiful new hospital located in Frisco · Strong team culture · Couplet Care Model · Average 120 births per month

Here’s What You Need · Diploma in Nursing required or · Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or · BSN preferred · One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. · Two years of NICU experience strongly preferred · BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly required and · NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and · NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and · CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days required and maintained annually What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process · Assesses the patient · Plans the care of the patient · Intervenes as appropriate · Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions · Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. · Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information · Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
