About the role

The role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of clinical research studies and providing quality nursing care to trial participants. Key duties include managing participant recruitment, maintaining regulatory documents, and handling IRB submissions.

Overview

Job Duties Responsible for all aspects of research coordination for research studies; Responsible for research specific quality nursing care for patients participating in clinical trials. Work with modality supervisors for completion of site questionnaires, implementation of imaging protocol and coordinate services for research patients.

Responsibilities

  • Essential Functions
  • Plan, implement and monitor participant recruitment and retention procedures.
  • Interpret and implement protocol procedures and policy.
  • Screen and interview study participants. Review lab and procedure results.
  • Maintain case report forms, charts and documentation.
  • Review protocols from other departments that include radiology services and prepare detailed responses
  • Dispense medication and maintain records.
  • Assures that adverse events are reported in timely fashion.
  • Maintain Regulatory documents as mandated by FDA regulations.
  • Assist/prepare initial institutional review board (IRB0 and regulatory document submissions. Appropriately submit documents to the IRB.
  • Assist/prepare and submit documentation to institutional review board (initial review, renewals, revisions, AE, protocol deviations)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience Requirements 2 years Nursing required Up to 1 year Experience in entering data onto systems such as Rave and DataTrak preferred Up to 1 year Ability to perform EKGs, perform phlebotomy, spin blood, prepare specimens for shipping, and have certification of transport of biological materials. preferred Education Requirements Bachelors Nursing preferred Associates Nursing required High School Diploma required Certification/Licensure Requirement Registered Nurse (RN) required at time of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred at time of hire NCLEX-RN required UFJPI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace

Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of nursing experience and a valid NCLEX-RN. A bachelor's degree in nursing and experience with data systems like Rave or DataTrak are preferred.
