Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic cardiology and/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention under the supervision of the department supervisor, manager, or director.
Depending on assigned department, meets education/training as required under established current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) guidelines. Required 2 Years experience Required Able to perform routine Echocardiography exams including, but not limited to, 2-D and M-Mode Echocardiography and/or Vascular sonography exams including, but not limited to, 2-D and M-Mode Imaging, Color Flow and Spectral Doppler, Carotid Ultrasound, Venous Doppler Upper and Lower Extremities, and Arterial Duplex Upper and Lower Extremities. Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance. Required Must demonstrate competency in routinely performing at least TEN of the following Echocardiography and/or Vascular ultrasound exams pertinent to department: 3-D, Strain, Exercise Stress Echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography, TAVR, Mitral Clip, Complex Valve, Watchman, Post Processing, Contrast Studies, Agitated Saline Studies, Transesophageal (TEE), Surgical TEE, Complex Cardiac Shunts, Pericardiocentesis, Single Ventricle, TOF, AVC, TGA, ECMO Cannula Position, Complex Heterotaxy, ASD Septostomy, PDA Closure Cath, Venous Insufficiency, Visceral, Segmental Physiology Upper Extremity, Access Grafts, Hemodialysis Access, Venous Ablation Procedures, Ultrasound Guidance, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Temporal Artery, Transcranial Imaging, Transcranial PFO Evaluation, Transcranial Emboli Detection, Transcranial Vasomotor Reactivity or Thoracic Bow Hunter’s Syndrome. Required Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification Must maintain one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in fetal echocardiography Required or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Required or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Required
