  • Responsibilities:
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients’ charts.
  • Work with the medical assistant tech to ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner
  • Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test
  • Fill out testing orders per physician
  • Send out prescriptions per physician orders
  • Orders & explain testing to the patient
  • Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
  • Set up procedures with hospitals to include filling out hospital form and faxing them back
  • Review procedure and instructions with the patient
  • Escort patients to check-out
  • Check voicemails & enter messages into eCW
  • Return patient calls/tasks, even if only to acknowledge receipt of the voicemail, and that an answer is being sought
  • Ensure that charts have been checked, and the proper paperwork is included
  • Travel required· Prepare bag for travel to satellite clinics
  • Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
  • Other related duties as assigned
