Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in support of the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital in Crow Agency, MT.

Position duration: 13+ weeks 40 hours a week Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using various diagnostic laboratory equipment such as analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.
  • Prepare patients and collect blood specimens utilizing venipuncture or capillary methods.
  • Prepare patients for collection of other specimen types such as urine and stool.
  • Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using various diagnostic laboratory equipment such as analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.
  • Review, verify and report patient results.
  • Perform, update and/or review Quality Control, Calibrations, and Maintenance.
  • Must be proficient in major areas of the clinical laboratory, such as clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, and molecular testing.
  • Must be proficient at capillary and venous blood collection.
  • Must be able to and interact with a diverse patient range Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution. Certification as a Medical Technician by a recognized certifying body (e.g. ASCP, AMT) 5-7 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Phlebotomy required.
