About the role

The Chaplain provides professional spiritual, religious, and emotional care to patients in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. They are responsible for implementing the mission and policies of the Department of Spiritual Health Services within the healthcare team.

This is a per diem/on call position.

The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Coursework/Training in four clinical pastoral education units.
  • Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
