The technician is responsible for decontaminating and reprocessing all in-house sterile supplies. They also issue, track, and maintain various types of patient care equipment to ensure quality patient care.

Decontaminates and reprocesses all in-house prepared sterile supplies. Issues, tracks, decontaminates, maintains, transports various types of patient care equipment, to provide Quality Patient Care.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
*CSP Techs employed as central service technicians prior to the effective date of Act 80 (12/28/2020) are exempt from certification requirements.
Central Sterile Processing experience.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and obtain a nationally accredited central service exam certification within 18 months of hire. Annual continuing education and successful completion of HR clearances are also required.
