Technologist-Radiology Multi-Modality
Operates radiology equipment to perform diagnostic procedures across multiple specialties as prescribed by physicians. Responsible for implementing treatment plans, maintaining a safe work environment, and participating in performance improvement activities.
Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Routinely works in 2 or more specialties.
Job
Responsibilities: Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician. Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient. Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan. Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines. Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures. Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement. Completes assigned goals. Provides basic bedside care and support in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit under the supervision of the RN or physician, anticipating and responding to patient needs. Assists with patient stabilization and life support measures in collaboration with the care team, following appropriate admission, discharge, and transfer procedures. Monitors for changes in patient condition, report concerns, and initiates appropriate actions within scope Collects laboratory samples and performs lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures. Demonstrates ability to perform laboratory quality controls and assessments and routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function according to laboratory policy and procedure. Prepares patient meals in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols. Supports patient registration functions as needed. Supports a best-in-class patient experience by utilizing downtime as productively as possible. Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates degree in related field. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Requires completion of an ARRT-accredited radiography program and an associate degree in a related field. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and the ability to follow complex technical instructions.
