About the Role

United Home Care is looking for compassionate, dependable caregivers to serve seniors throughout East County San Diego. Whether you're providing companionship or hands-on personal care, you'll make a meaningful impact by helping clients remain safe, independent, and engaged in the comfort of their own homes. No certification? No problem. If you have a passion for helping others and experience caring for a loved one, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene Prepare meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration Assist with medication reminders Help with walking, mobility, transfers, and fall prevention Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization Escort clients to appointments, errands, and community outings Engage clients through games, walks, hobbies, and meaningful activities Monitor client well-being and report changes to the care team Complete accurate daily care documentation Experience We Value We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including: Family caregivers Homemakers or stay-at-home parents Assisted living or memory care communities Skilled nursing facilities Home care agencies Childcare, teaching, or preschool experience Senior centers or community programs Church or volunteer organizations Retirees looking for meaningful, flexible work Certifications such as CNA, HHA, PCA, or other caregiving credentials are welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

Compassionate, dependable, and patient with a genuine desire to help seniors Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable providing companion care and personal care Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance (if driving clients) High school diploma or GED Ability to pass a background check (HCA) and TB screening Ability to travel to client homes throughout East County Why Join United Home Care?
