Who We're Looking For

The IOP Clinical Therapist provides comprehensive behavioral health services to adults participating in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The therapist is responsible for conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating group and individual therapy, coordinating care, and ensuring documentation meets regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements. The therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary treatment team to promote recovery, symptom stabilization, relapse prevention, and successful transition to lower levels of care.

What You'll Do

Facilitate 3–5 therapeutic groups per week.

Provide individual counseling for clients transitioning into IOP level of care.

Conduct family counseling when appropriate.

Complete LOCUS assessments to support level-of-care determinations.

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and risk assessments.

Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.

Facilitate psychoeducational, process, DBT, CBT, trauma-informed, relapse prevention, and skills-based groups.

Provide weekly individual therapy sessions and family sessions as clinically indicated.

Complete crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments utilizing evidence-based tools.

Monitor client progress and determine medical necessity for continued treatment.

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.

Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, referral sources, and community agencies.

Prepare discharge summaries and continuing care plans.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state licensing regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical supervision.

Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements.

What You Need

Master’s degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, or closely related behavioral health field.

Current Florida licensure as an LCSW or LMHC (or applicable state license if outside Florida).

Minimum of two years of clinical experience providing behavioral health treatment.

Experience facilitating group therapy.

Knowledge of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or closely related behavioral health field.
  • Experience in PHP, IOP, Residential, or Acute Care settings.
  • Knowledge of LOCUS and ASAM Criteria, 4th Edition.
  • Experience with Joint Commission standards.
  • Experience working with diverse adult populations.

Work Schedule • Sunday -Thursday • Hours: 1pm to 9pm

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a behavioral health field and current Florida licensure as an LCSW or LMHC. A minimum of two years of clinical experience and proficiency in facilitating group therapy are required.
