Position summary

The Dental Assistant at Community Health Center of Fort Dodge, Inc. (CHCFD) plays a crucial role in supporting our dental team by assisting dentists during examinations and treatments, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining a sterile and organized environment, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Qualifications

Education and Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an accredited dental assistant program.

Current certification in Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) preferred.

CPR certification required.

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a community health setting or FQHC.

Experience with Epic EHR or similar electronic health records system is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and teamwork.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical requirements
