About the role

Perform radiographic procedures and apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnoses under the direction of a radiologist. Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to safety standards and department policy manuals.

Providence is offering up to a $5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment — this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

The CT Technologist, under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.

The CT Technologist will provide services timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.

This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in special procedures for a radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards.

The CT Technologist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Radiology Department's Policy and Procedures Manual; will assist in assigned administrative tasks and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs.

He/she will also participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the outlined department

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Upon hire: Montana Radiologic Technologist
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Within 1 year of hire National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography, or
  • Within 1 year of hire National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year general radiology experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Requirements
