- Range: $23.66 - $32.82 HourlyClatsop Behavioral Healthcare has an immediate opening for a full time Residential Support Specialist at our North Coast Crisis Respite Center (NCCRC). This position works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor treatment for residents within the residential facility. This position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, client centered approach to assisting residents in achieving individual goals and ultimately transitioning to a less restrictive setting. This position works 12 hour shifts from 7am-7pm with a 3 days on, 4 days off/4 days on, 3 days off alternating weekly schedule. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
Safety: Must be able to observe, report, and document safety concerns. Provide therapeutic interventions with residents as required and directed by the mental health treatment and/or residential service plan. Provide case management for residents as directed by client’s treatment/residential service plan. Provide individual and/or group skills training and support in areas such as self-care, hygiene, community resources, and other life skills as directed by the treatment plan/residential service plan. Facilitate group skills trainings and interactions. Attend clinical case conferences and staff meetings to gain knowledge and communicate program and resident needs. Assist in menu planning, shopping for meals, meal set-up, preparation, serving, and clean up related to mealtimes. Perform other household tasks including but not limited to housekeeping throughout the facility and cleaning of biohazards. Must accompany and assist residents during medical appointments in the community. Provide transportation and escort residents in the community. Comply with regulations, policies, and procedures under which the facility is licensed and operates.

Must complete admission/intake process, ensure completion of intake paperwork and procedures.
Discharges
- Must review discharge paperwork with client at time of discharge. Must respect and honor client rights and responsibilities and demonstrate professional boundaries and ethics. Must demonstrate responsibility for safety of residents and property; have an understanding of the fire regulations and evacuation procedures; hold regular fire safety drills with residents in compliance with facility policies and procedures. Must be able to stay awake on all shifts. Will adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws and HIPPA requirements. Must comply with daily documentation requirements. Must maintain clinical records in a manner that assures compliance with all agency policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation as required, associated with assessment, treatment, resident’s progress, and other activities. Complete electronic medical records (EMR) as required using Carelogic or other CBH software. Must document within Medication Administration Record with new admits or changes to medications as needed, under training by nursing staff. Assist in crisis situations as appropriate, following emergency protocols/procedures and coordinating with the treatment team with interventions which support a trauma informed environment for residents and staff. Must contact administrator on-call for clinical decisions and direction throughout shift. Must coordinate with oncoming shift regarding resident concerns, and any new relevant issues to ensure the smooth operation of the program. Secondary Functions Must complete annual employee training requirements on a timely basis as indicated in the licensing requirements for the facility as well as agency requirements. Attend seminars, training, and other educational opportunities in order to develop professional skills and abilities. Must participate in all scheduled staff meetings, supervision sessions, and other departmental and agency meetings. Must have the ability to perform CPR, First Aid, and properly use AED equipment. CPR/First Aid certifications are required and must remain current. Will perform other duties as assigned and consistent with the Support Staff/Peer Support role. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health science field; or a combination of at least three years' relevant work, education, training or experience. Ability to obtain Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) certification through MHACBO within 6 months of hire. Valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license HS Diploma or GED Excellent oral and written communication skills. Articulate well, speak precisely, think and write clearly. Strong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to multi-task. Flexibility to travel throughout the community.
