As a Trauma Surgeon, you will play a vital role in the surgical intervention and management of trauma patients. Assess and manage trauma patients in need of surgical intervention Perform surgical procedures and post-operative care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans Monitor and evaluate patient progress during recovery Provide education and support to patients and their families Participate in on-call responsibilities as required Stay current with advancements in trauma surgery techniques Adhere to all health and safety regulations and standards
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree Valid medical license in the state of practice Completion of a residency program in General Surgery Board certification in Trauma Surgery (preferred) Strong surgical skills and clinical judgment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement Level I Trauma
Schedule: 24-hour in-house and beeper call shifts, 6a-6a
Admissions: 40-80 per day
Patient Population: Adults
Duties: Trauma and acute care surgery
Support Staff: NP, PA
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
ATLS required, BLS and DEA preferred
