Speech-Language Pathologist

Overview

Responsibilities

• Performs speech and language, swallowing, and cognitive evaluations.
• Establishes care plans and ensures prescribed care delivery to assigned patients in line with standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the speech and language pathology practice act in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes speech and language pathology services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned department leader.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
